No effects after Botox? Find out what might be the reason

Injections of Botulinum toxin (Botox) are one of the most frequently performed procedures at clinics. Not only doctors, but also cosmetologists and beauticians are performing them, which is very controversial, as the specialists are supposed to know human anatomy well, to assess the strength of the muscles and make sure Botox can be injected correctly.

One of the reasons Botox doesn’t work, or is less effective is because of the person performing the procedure! This happens when the specialists don’t inject it correctly, or inject the incorrect dose.

You might also see poor results of Botox treatments when the substance hasn’t been stored properly (too high a temperature) during transportation.

Some clinics can hyper-dilute Botox, which may decrease the effects of the treatment. There might also be a slight possibility of the skin producing neutralizing antibodies around the injection point. It is not something that could happen during the first treatment, but rather with repeated injections and higher doses of Botox.
