Blood stem cells injections can renew the skin

PRP, PRF, CGF – Hidden behind these encrypted symbols are one of the best anti-aging treatments available on the aesthetic medicine market. Their advantage is undeniable – they provide quick, natural, and excellent rejuvenation effects and do not cause side effects as they come from the patient’s blood.

Kim Kardashian and her association with skin treatments

Probably everyone’s heard of the vampire facelift, as the PRP is called. It gained more popularity due to Kim Kardashian, a celebrity who published her photo of having PRP treatment. Unfortunately, apart from the increased luminosity of the skin and regenerative/healing processes’ acceleration after invasive aesthetic medicine treatments, it does not show any more significant effects. However, without a doubt, it makes the skin look fresh and helps reduce the swelling and redness after laser, or needle radiofrequency treatment (it usually, does not last longer than 3-4 days; this was so in my case).

The use of Cytokines, fibrin matrix, and CD34 cells in skin treatments. Which is the best?

PRP works because of the platelets that contain all the growth factors – there are dozens of them. However, there is something much better on the market than PRP, its new generation – PRF.

The procedure is similar to PRP. Vein blood is taken and placed in a special separator, where concentrated growth factors are extracted and then added into the skin. They can be administered as a mesotherapy (a non-invasive non-surgical technique that uses micro-injections of pharmaceutical and homeopathic preparations) or injected into problematic local areas within the skin.

What makes PRF work better than PRP is the harmony between cytokines and fibrin matrix, but also the content of mesenchymal stem cells (stem cells that are present in multiple tissues, including umbilical cord, bone marrow and fat tissue). That’s why it can stimulate the synthesis of fibroblasts and collagen. In addition, in PRF, growth factors are released slower, and as such, we can obtain significantly better regenerative properties in the skin.

For this procedure to be successful, it must be carried out quickly – as it does not require any gelling agent. The treatment with PRF is often used for aesthetic and skin rejuvenation purposes (reducing wrinkles, skin laxity, reducing dark circles and bags under the eyes), hair loss, acne scar reduction, and bone loss repair in dental procedures.

The best treatment is CGF, which, in addition to more concentrated growth factors, uses CD34 + stem cells to promote cell growth and differentiation. The treatment activates microcirculation in the skin, smoothes and reduces wrinkles, and makes the skin regain its youthful vitality.

I must admit that I was personally delighted with the result. In addition, I noticed an increase in volume to the face, similar to that provided by Radiesse (dermal fillers). Unfortunately, this procedure needs to be repeated with some regularity to maintain its effect.

Women who are pregnant, have viral infections, active infections, and are taking immune-suppressants and anticoagulants should not receive this treatment however.
